Oficina palestra – Histórias Tecidas – Huni Kuin

Com muita alegria, recebemos a comitiva do povo Huni Kuin do Rio Jordão (Amazónia, Acre) no Porto, para a oficina/palestra “Histórias Tecidas”. Neste encontro, convidamo-vos a conhecer a cosmovisão Huni Kuin através do seu universo têxtil, cujos motivos e símbolos revelam os seus contextos históricos, socio-culturais e artísticos.
A comitiva Huni Kuin @institutoguardioesdafloresta propõe tecer este universo simbólico através de uma palestra baseada em pesquisas antropológicas e nas suas vivências pessoais. Zenira Neshene, presidente da associação das artesãs da Aldeia Novo Segredo – Terra Indigena Alto do Rio Jordão, é o fio condutor que entrelaça o universo feminino Huni Kuin, as plantas, o grafismo, o canto e rezo desta experiência sensorial e cognitiva.
Esta oficina pretende assim explorar participativamente a imaginação mítico-animística entre humanos e mais-que-humanos como ponto central da produção artística e como força de resistência indígena. Refletindo como visões dualistas da sociedade ocidental – capitalista e corporativa – dissipam o encantamento ecológico e o pensamento mágico sustentável.
Este evento marca também o lançamento da primeira publicação de Ophiussa Press @ophiussa.press , “Sirani e a Jiboia Encantada”, que conta a história da origem do grafismo Huni Kuin na arte do tecelar.
With great joy, we received the delegation of the Huni Kuin people from the Jordão River (Amazon, Acre) in Porto, for the workshop/lecture “Histórias Tecidas”. At this meeting, we invite you to get to know the Huni Kuin cosmovision through its textile universe, whose motifs and symbols reveal their historical, socio-cultural and artistic contexts. The Huni Kuin entourage @institutoguardioesdafloresta proposes to weave this symbolic universe through a lecture based on anthropological research and their personal experiences. Zenira Neshene, president of the association of artisans from Aldeia Novo Segredo – Terra Indigena Alto do Rio Jordão, is the common thread that intertwines the Huni Kuin female universe, the plants, the graphics, the chant and prayer of this sensorial and cognitive experience. This workshop thus intends to explore in a participatory way the mythical-animistic imagination between humans and more-than-humans as a central point of artistic production and as a force of indigenous resistance. Reflecting on how dualistic views of Western society – capitalist and corporate – dispel ecological enchantment and sustainable magical thinking. This event also marks the launch of the first publication by Ophiussa Press @ophiussa.press , “Sirani and the Enchanted Jiboia”, which tells the story of the origin of Huni Kuin graphics in the art of weaving.
